Permanent pasture is land used to grow grass or other plants that animals graze on, and it’s been used this way for at least five years. The grass can be naturally growing or planted, but it’s not plowed or replanted each season like crop fields. It’s mainly for feeding livestock such as cows, sheep, or goats.
