Major Urban Areas Population

Major urban area population refers to the number of people living in the largest cities of a country—usually the capital and up to six other big cities, each with at least 750,000 people. These cities include not just the city center but also the surrounding suburbs and densely populated areas nearby. In small countries that don’t have cities this big, only the population of the capital city is shown.
